The WesterHarmonie is looking for reinforcement! Our 40-piece orchestra from Amsterdam Nieuw-West is looking for one or more enthusiastic and experienced tenor saxophonists.
The musicians in our orchestra share at least one trait: a love of playing, but with a serious undertone. Our members have widely varying musical experience and often also play in other ensembles, such as a chamber orchestra, wind quintet, big band or saxophone quartet. Whether you have lots of experience or want to pick up playing again after some years: you are more than welcome.
What do we offer?
- A great association with remarkable people — international, too
- A varied repertoire, from classical to light and cinematic music.
- Weekly rehearsals led by a young, dedicated conductor.
- Several concerts each year in Amsterdam at special venues.
Interested?
Feel free to join a rehearsal — no strings attached. There is a two-month trial period in which you can get to know the WesterHarmonie as a musician, and the members can get to know you. Don’t have an instrument (anymore)? At the WesterHarmonie, we have a beautiful silver-plated Selmer saxophone waiting on the shelf.
Who knows, you (and your saxophone) might soon be part of our sax section!
